I am the opposite of a perfectionist. I like making messes and turning them into beautiful, provocative things. I paint to relax. I paint to enjoy. I paint to express.
My art is about taking risks. It demonstrates combined impressions of 14 years of Western and World Art History education combined with a diligent painting practice. I am especially inspired by Abstract Expressionism and Chinese Literatipainting; which value Qi(chi) or life-force over realism.
As an artist it is my mission to depict inner realities, to help humanity see itself and the world with compassion. I show darkness and turbulence in my art and I delight in the non-commercial world. I attempt to craft works which stimulate journeys both inward and outward. I believe art has transformative power.
