I love solving challenging design problems. I am the opposite of a perfectionist. I like making messes and turning them into beautiful, provocative things. I create to puzzle together the most ravaging and beautiful pieces of the world into something that makes sense.
My art is about taking risks. It demonstrates combined impressions of 14 years of Western and World Art History education combined with a diligent painting practice. I am especially inspired by Abstract Expressionism and Chinese Literatipainting; which value Qi(chi) or life-force over realism.
As an artist it is my mission to depict inner realities, to help humanity see itself and the world with compassion. I show darkness and turbulence in my art and I delight in the non-commercial world. I attempt to craft works which stimulate journeys both inward and outward. I believe art has transformative power.
