Broken Earth 1 x 3'
The Broken Earth series started in 2010 as a 30’ long scroll painting of the Western Canadian mountainscape. It was ceremoniously dismantled and reconfigured in 2013 in a performance art series at the Banff Centre. That was Symbolic of the destruction and subsequent rebirth of nature during the process of resource extraction. This series contrasts fossil fuel and factory produced materials (acrylic paint and walmart cotton) with organic hand-produced ones (gouache, wood panel, hide glue and marble dust gesso).
Acrylic on cotton mounted with hide glue and methyl cellulose on braced wood panel. Marble dust gesso, handmade gouache. This purchase is for one 1' x 3' panel of your choice as currently displayed in the Space, 608 Baker Street, Nelson, BC
